After I posted the article The great instant noodle showdown, this American guy I know tipped me off about some noodles I really should try out if I ever found them: Myojo Chukazanmai brand noodles.
These are japanese noodles and can't be found in any stores in my area (not that I know of, anyway). Therefore I got some guy visiting Tokyo bring me back some of them, and so he did. Nice fella, huh? Today I tried them out.
The package was huge compared to any other brand of noodles I've seen. Don't know if it shows, but here's a picture for those who wonder what this stuff looks like:
Now I wanted to make sure I did this properly. Shouldn't really be a major problem, now should it? Just follow the written instructions and things will be fine:
As you can clearly see this shouldn't be hard at all.
Don't know if I got it entirely right, but the noodles were soft and squishy and the soup had a rich, lasting flavour. I was supposed to make a picture of the noodles when served, but I guess I just forgot about it and ate them. I was hungry.
I like noodles. I like these noodles. Will probably order a few packs online, even though the shipping involved will be insane.
